So it wasn't pretty, but.....

...this picture sure is. 5 turnovers, 4 million penalties, and we still pull out a win. Not as dramatic as ND-USC (which is a whole other story), but I will take it. Plus, our defense has decided to come alive for us. We are now 3rd in the country against the run and 14th overall. Not too bad after those first two games.

You know, considering all that has gone on this season (losing our starting running back for the season, inexperienced QB, new head coach and defensive coordinator, no warm up game, 1st game rescheduled, 2nd game moved from home to Arizona, 3rd game delayed 2 days b/c of a 2nd hurricane to hit the state, 4th game played 5 days later, players housing evacuees, etc., etc.), I am ecstatic about a 4-1 start, especially considering that after this week, LSU will have played 6 games, 4 of which were against top 20 teams (Vandy and Miss State being the other two). You just have to love these guys.

Next up...Auburn. Should be a good game, but then again, we are not Ball State (or Arkansas or South Carolina or or Miss State or Western Kentucky). Auburn will either have a nice coming-out party or will be a little exposed. I am going with the latter.
